Haley M. Johnson

Haley has managed Scotsman Center since its opening in 2017. Her expertise in equine science and youth development, combined with her strong leadership skills and talent for nurturing relationships, fosters a barn culture that balances family-friendliness with top-notch professionalism.
Haley’s childhood spanned various regions of the US, from Louisiana to Maryland and Missouri to Idaho. Her equestrian education began at age 8 with the Pony Club in Missouri and continued in Idaho, where she fell in love with the West. This passion led her to earn a BS in Equine Science & Management from Utah State University.
She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Agricultural Extension and Education. In 2018, she authored a grant that launched Utah's first 4-H "horseless horse program" in Washington County. Her research thesis evaluating the program was published in the Journal of Human Sciences and Extension in 2023.
Outside of Scotsman Center, Haley serves as the Morgan County Fair Coordinator and as a coach on the Morgan Mountain Biking Team. She enjoys mountain biking, exploring the outdoors, and of course-- horses.
Lauren Boddy
Assistant Manager

Lauren is a current Equine Science and Management student at Utah State University. She joined the Scotsman Center team in Spring 2025. As a highly motivated professional, Lauren pursues her Bachelor's degree year-round as she leads our team of barn hands and plays a vital role in assuring the quality of our horse care services.
Outside of Scotsman Center, Lauren enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband, her two husky dogs and training her 2 year old Percheron horse.
